Acting on behalf of Telefonica (o2), RCL have successfully acquired rights on several buildings in Cardiff to assist with the 5G launch.

With a demanding requirement to have all sites ‘on air’ in three months, RCL not only achieved the right result but also delivered every site that was deemed as a priority.

5G is the fifth-generation wireless technology for digital cellular networks. It is widely believed to be faster and more efficient than 4G. and hopes to boast speeds faster than home broadband. 5G is set to be as much as 100 times faster than 4G.

RCL have once again been instructed to deal with the acquisition and legal management of Special Events sites for EE..  These sites will span events the length and breadth of the UK and will provide additional coverage to EE customers and the Emergency Services.

Providing additional coverage is an essential ingredient to the customer experience at these events and these temporary sites provide an extra layer of coverage when the network is close to capacity.

RCL will once again be working closely with Projex Cellular Infrastructure UK  and Telefónica (o2) installing bespoke Temporary Mobile Telecommunications Units to all  major events throughout the United Kingdom. These units provide additional service to the Telefónica network and can be installed within 1-2 days.

These temp sites are invaluable when it comes to maintaining the network during major events. RCL are on hand throughout the process to ensure ease of access for build before events, maintenance during events and schedule of condition after events
